How should I care for my jewellery?

To ensure the long life of your jewellery we advise removing before exercising of coming in to contact with water e.g., Swimming or bathing. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions or hair products. Do not use harsh chemicals or oils as this may affect the finishing of your jewellery.

 

What do I do if my jewellery starts to change colour?

Each person creates natural body oils which can make metals react differently. Gold plated jewellery will change colour over time naturally. Depending on your body chemistry and normal wear. Unfortunately, this process is non reversible.

Do you have a jewellery allergy?

If you are allergic or sensitive to metals, we recommend against buying brass or copper-based jewellery. Instead go for 925 Sterling silver or Stainless-steel jewellery.

Do we offer jewellery guarantees or repairs?

Currently we do not offer a replacement or repair services. although it is something we’d like to look in to offering in the future.

What is brass?

Brass is an alloy made up of mostly copper and zinc. The proportions of the copper and zinc can vary due to produce different types of brass.

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is generally composed of iron and chromium. It does not corrode or tarnish, making it highly durable.

 

What is sterling silver?

Sterling silver is pure silver that has been added with other metals to create a harder metal. It is made up of 92.5% pure silver, explaining the name 925, and 7.5% of other metals.

 

What are cubic zirconia stones?

Cubic zirconia stones are lab created diamonds simulates which are made to look like diamonds. However, CZ is made of zirconium oxide instead of carbon, making them a sustainable and ethical choice.

 

What does rhodium plated mean?

Rhodium is a hard metal used to enhance the luster and durability of other metals. It leaves a smooth, shiny finish to the jewellery as well as making it scratch resistant.

 

What does gold plated mean?

Gold plating is a process where a thin layer of gold is bonded onto a base metal. Gold plating is meant to be permanent, but like all types of plating, it doesn’t handle rough exposure well. In general, plating can last for up to two years with proper care.
